Gosaikunda is the one of the holiest lake of the Nepal.Located in rasuwa at the hight of 4,380m from the sea level.The lake melts and sips down the Trisuli river and remains frozen for six months in winter(october to june).This lake area have nearly 108 lakes.This area has been delineated as a religious site.Gosaikunda is Beleved to have been created by loard Shiva when he thrust his Trisul into a mountain to extract water.so the he could cool stinining throat aftter after he had swalloded poison from samundra manthan.
The trek to Gosaikunda starts in Dhunche village or Syabu besin in the Lantang Himal or in Sundrijal in kathmandu valley.
Detail Itinerary
Day1:Drive Kathmandu to Dhunche.over night at hotel.
Day2:Trek Dhunche to Sing Gompa (5-6 hrs) over night at hotel
Day3:Trek Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (6-7 hrs).
Day4:Trek Gosaikunda to Dhunche (8-9 hrs).over night at hotel
Day5:Drive Dhunche to Kathmandu.
