Rara is the largest and deepest lake in nepal.himalaya of at an altitude 2990 meter high located at Jumla and Mugu district.Rara lake is the main feature of rara National Park.The lake was declared a Ramsar site,covering 1,583 including the surrounding wetland.Summer is the quit pleasant but Winter is cold.The best visiting time to the lake is september /october and april to may.Rara lake, being surrounde by Rara national Park,so it has unique Flora and Funal importance with rare and vuinerable species.The Park Flora consists of 1074 species,of which 16 are endemic to nepal.The Founa includes 51 species of the mammals and 214 species of birds.Rara lake includes endemic fish species.
In Rara lake we can see the view of Snow-Capped Himalayan Peaks enhance the attraction of the trekkers.so it the one of the best place for day tour as well as trekking.

Day2:Drive Surkhet to Kalikot.over night at hotel
Day3:Drive Kalikot to Talcha.over night at hotel
Day4:Drive Talcha to Rara (3-4 hrs) and Exploration day at Rara.
Day5:Drive Rara to Kalikot.over night at hotel.
Day6:Drive Kalikot to Nepalgunj.over night at hotel
Day7:Drive Nepalgunj to Kathmandu.
